GooglebaseXML - sale price was created by kiwav

After setting all the option, the generated XML file only appear g:price. How do I set to let sale price (g:sale_price) show as well?
(also sale price effective date)

Thank you.

Hello, the feed will pick these up automatically for any products that you have set a discount for. The only thing that you need to be careful about is to set a start and end date for the sale or discount.

You can do this in the price setting in the Virtuemart product editor. If you are running a generic sale then you can set a start and end date in the tax and calculation rule.

Google always ask for a start and end date for any sale price, if you do not provide these, then it just regards this as the normal price so the feed provides it as the "g:price" attribute to conform to their rules.

I think that the point of the rule is that Google do not want stores to advertise that something is on sale, when actually it is selling for the normal price. So it asks for the start and end date. Of course there is nothing to stop you supplying a start and end date and then supplying another one as soon as it ends.

Anyway it should all work if you understand that point.
