This custom field plugin for Joomla and Virtuemart allows you to add a free download link to your product page.

Description

For example, suppose you want to offer a manual for your product to your customers, which they can download as a PDF file. The plugin can be used to attach a download button to your product. Moreover, you can attach as many download links as you want per product if you have multiple files.

The plugin can track the number of downloads made. It has some useful additional features: optionally, downloads can be restricted to registered users only or specific shopper groups, so it can be used for subscription sites.

Please note that the free download plugin is not designed to create a link that will be sent in an order email when an order is confirmed, it is designed to provide a free download link that will be displayed on the product page. If you require a download plugin which will only create a link when the order is confirmed, you will need to buy the paid download plugin.
