just tried to install the GoogleBaseXML-component to J. 2.5.17 and VM2.0.21. - after installing the component, VM ist AUTOMATICALLY updated to 0.26, but i don't see the component in Joomla. Where's the problem here?

I'm rellay irritated, that a component for virtuemart seems to update the system. I dislike, because at the moment I can't upgrade because of several changes in checkout in VM, which will destroy my checkout.

Hope, anyone has a solution for my problem.

It is absolutely impossible that the GooglebaseXML component updated your Virtuemart system to 2.0.26, there is no way that it could ever do that. We most certainly would not design a component that did this without your permission. The suggestion that we would do so is actually quite insulting.

I assume that you or someone else accidentally clicked the 'update' button that Virtuemart displays in the admin panel. As for what you can do, restore your site from a backup.

thank you for your answer. Of course, I thougt, it's impossible, too... But i tried several times - in fact I thougt I'd clicked something wrong. But after installation of the extension, I've a new virtuemart update.

AND - nevertheless there is the problem that I don't see the component...

Nevertheless, it really is impossible that the GooglebaseXML component is updating your site. There must be something else going wrong with your site.

If you don't see it listed among the components the likelihood is that the version of the component that you have installed is the wrong one. In your order you will see that you have access to 3 different versions for Joomla and Virtuemart, make sure that you have installed the correct version, for Joomla 2.5 and VM2, the file name should be com_googlebasexml4.zip.
