Hi

I can't get my Googlebase xml to add product attributes like size and color.
I have the "Show product attributes" selected in parameters.
Also my images are not showing in the feed.

I have attached an image as well

Cheers

Enabling the show attributes option by itself will not make anything show. You have to actually supply the information that the feed can use.

From the screenshot it looks like you are using Virtuemart 1.1x. Therefore you will need to do this by creating a Virtuemart product type, then attaching type fields to this. You assign the product type to your product and then add the information.

Finally in the GooglebaseXML you assign the type fields to the attributes that you wish to display. It is a somewhat involved process, but other users have successfully managed to do this. At the moment in the screenshot there are no type fields listed as options. This is because you have not yet defined any product types or type fields. Once you have done so they will appear as options to be assign to the available Google attributes.

It is explained further in the documentation http://www.spiralscripts.co.uk/Documentation/com-googlebasexml-documentation-legacy.html.

Also there is a more general discussion of Virtuemart 1.1x product types which you are strongly recommended to read: http://www.spiralscripts.co.uk/Joomla-Tips/using-virtuemart-product-types.html

Also the images are showing. If you view the page source of your feed you will see for example

<g:image_link>www.enhanceu.com.au/components/com_virtu...ZI_5108da01c2a46.jpg</g:image_link>

This is what the feed should display. The fact that you do not see an actual image displayed is irrelevant. The page is an xml feed not a html web page.

Hi again

Is it possible to add the size and color components of the feed using Virtuemart product attributes ?
I see that there is an option to choose "show product attributes" in the component parameters, are these the attributes you can add for size color etc on the product status tab in the product information page.
I have setup the product type etc. but I am having trouble working out how to add multiple size options for the product in the feed.

Cheers

No, you cannot use the attributes on the product status tabs, you need to create a product type as I explained before, attach fields to this product type for the colors, sizes etc. You attach the product type to your product, then you can provide the field information for your product.

Lastly you in the GooglebaseXML options you assign the product type fields to the attributes you wish to show.

The links I gave you before explain this process. There is no other way of doing it.
