About Our Affiliate Programme PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 08 September 2009 12:42

Do you have a website or a blog? We are offering you an opportunity to earn a commission from selling our scripts through your site.

We find that our products sell well, but it takes up our time to market them effectively. This is where you come in. We can't promise you untold riches, but with a little work you can hope to generate some useful extra income through marketing our extensions through your own site.

How Does it Work?

You sign up to our affiliate programme. We will need to approve your site or blog before you you will be able to log into your account, so please remember to supply a link.

Then you add some links to our products to your site or blog. These will contain your affiliate id - we will give you the code for the links. When a visitor to your site clicks on the link to our site, a cookie will be stored on their web browser. If they buy one of our products, either then or later, you will be paid a commission of 10% of the sale value. The payments can soon add up, making a great source of income for you.

Once your account has been approved you can start adding our links to your site. You can use one of our own selection of text and banners. Just click on 'banners and ads' in your account. Then select your ad and copy and paste the html code into your site. If you would like to make your own text link or banner, just remember to include your affiliate id code in the link query string, eg

http://www.spiralscripts.co.uk/?aff_id=xx

Replace xx with your own affiliate id. You can find out your affiliate id by checking the link code for our supplied banners in your control panel, this will contain your id.

If you have any questions, please contact us through the site.

Joomla and the GPL

There have been big changes in the Joomla extensions directory in recents months: since July this year the directory has only included extensions that are licensed under the General Public License (GPL), the same license that Joomla itself is licensed under.
